How did you get into makeup?

I was a part of the generation that grew up watching youtube, so I was obsessed with playing with makeup and learning as a teenager. In my teens I started my career in Space NK and then got my dream job at Charlotte Tilbury, I was there for 4 years before starting my freelance career. It’s for sure always been my passion.

What advice would you give someone aspiring to be a makeup artist?

Don’t be scared to reach out to people for help and advice. I utilised every contact I had and offered to work for free for the first year of my makeup career. In my opinion getting a job in retail is the best thing you can do as you learn how to do makeup on real people, every skin tone and every skin type, you’ll also make friends and contacts in the industry this way.

What’s your favourite IG / TikTok account for makeup inspiration?

There are so many! Patrick Ta, Emilie Tommerberg and Tanielle Jai to name a few, I’m also a huge skincare fan and love Dr Ewoma (@drewomaukeleghe on Instagram)

What is one makeup product you couldn’t live without?

My Supersize Me Lip Liner from Charlotte Tilbury. My Nan would never leave the house without a lip on and I live by that rule now too.

Three must-haves for your makeup bag?

Three must haves would be Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter as a base, The Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder (the best for blurring!) My 3rd would be a lip but I gave you my favourite colour above so I’m going to have to say the Rare beauty blush in “Encourage”
